Full Tilt Poker Hosts PokerGives.org Charity Tournament
PokerGives.org is an organization for the charity of choice of Women in Poker Hall of Fame. Recipient organizations include the Special Olympics, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and the Step by Step Foundation.
Those poker players who are interested in the $5+$5 buy-in tournament can go into Tournament lobby of FullTiltPoker.com. The event will takes place on April 4th, after few weeks. ID and password for this event is 137275439 and PokerNations. This event is going to sponsor a charity contest along with the Twitter Poker Tour.
It’s not the first time that Full Tilt is hosting some charity event they have also hosted some other charity events, like in February they have sponsored the Kandy Masquerade Charity Event. The site also sent over $650,000 to the American Red Cross to benefit the victims of the huge earthquake that struck Haiti after matching $330,000 in player donations.
So this time on 4th April Full Tilt Poker and PokerGives.org both will host a combine $5+$5 charity tournament. In this event half of each players buy-in will be for the tournament prize pool while the other half will be donated to charity through PokerGives.org.
Requirements for the participants of the event to get to bonus prize is that they have to visit the PokerNation forums and have to post their Full Tilt user name in the tournament’s related thread. Every player who participates will receive a one-month membership to the Down to the Felt Club, which has a retail value of $25.
Along with the prize pool there are also some other prizes that include poker sunglasses from Blue Shark Optics, a home game set from DB Dealer, a one-year subscription to Bluff Magazine, six months of poker coaching from Deuces Cracked, poker books, card protectors, a $200 gift certificate to Andrew Shirley and Company, and private coaching sessions with Johnson, Delk, PokerXFactor’s Chris “Fox” Wallace, and Michael “tuna_fish_tank” Stroh.
Full tilt Poker has practiced exponential growth and now it is the second largest online poker room in the world. It is hosting over 50,000 poker players at any time of the day.
